Life After High School

There’s More Than One Path Forward.

Choosing what comes after high school can feel exciting, overwhelming, and uncertain—all at the same time.

Life After High School is a practical workbook and resource series designed to help students explore who they are, understand their options, and build a realistic plan for what comes next—whether that means college, the workforce, a combination of pathways, or still figuring out what feels right.

College Isn't the Only Path Forward.

For many students, conversations about life after high school begin with college. But college is only one of many possible pathways.

Some students are ready for a four-year university. Others may thrive at a community college, technical school, apprenticeship, certification program, or directly in the workforce. Some will combine education and work. And some simply need more time and information before deciding.

Life After High School creates space to explore those possibilities without assuming there is one “right” path.

The goal isn't to have every answer.

The goal is to make an informed next step.

For the Adults Supporting the Journey

Guidance for Parents & Caregivers

Planning for life after high school doesn't happen in isolation. Parents and caregivers often play an important role in helping students ask questions, weigh options, and make decisions—while also learning when to step back and let students take ownership of the process.

The Parent Guide was created as a companion to the Life After High School series, giving families practical ways to support the journey without taking it over.

The Parent Guide helps families:

• Start meaningful conversations about life after high school
• Support exploration without pushing students toward one particular path
• Stay engaged while encouraging independence and student ownership
